Session Description
Administrators and educators are impacted daily by what’s happening in
the nation’s Capitol. This session harnesses the collective wisdom of
Washington education policy analysts and Reading Recovery leaders to
forge new opportunities in this changing landscape.
Join Lucy Gettman, RRCNA director of government relations, Max
McConkey, chair-elect of the Knowledge Alliance, Kelly Hastings,
Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, Mark
Benedict, Attorney at Law, The Genesis Group and Dr. Mary Jackson,
director, special programs, Fort Bend ISD, as they explore the nexus
of funding, research, the ESEA and other emerging education policy.
